who we are

DuckRabbit is a one-man art studio from Denderleeuw (Belgium).

With about 20 years of experience in design, branding, illustration and lay-out, working for one of Belgium’s largest companies, his main strengths are a swift pencil, a chameleonlike aptitude for different styles, and an innate sense of anatomy.

Within reasonable limits (and a reasonable fee), we will come to you, join your creative team or work on your premises. Distances apply.

how we work

After an initial meeting (face-to-face or digitally), we sign off on a briefing document. General terms & conditions apply, unless stated in this document.

Some things to know:

DuckRabbit tries to limit unruly corrections and feedback rounds, as we have already noticed time, quality and budget are negatively impacted when these run out of control.

We also need one single contact with decision power, to avoid contradictory demands. This is a deal-breaker ! We have noticed in the past that too many cooks spoil the broth. In case of absence, any urgent decisions should be taken by this person’s official replacement. We‘d prefer not to deal with anybody’s company politics.

We do not work at a fixed hourly rate, but prefer a flat fee. This because quality and deadlines must be met at all times. An hourly rate would negatively impact these standards.

Most jobs will be payed in two parts: a 50 % advance at its start, and the remaining 50 % at conclusion or delivery. If after first review, my work doesn’t meet your needs, you can always opt out. More details are mentioned in our general terms & conditions.

what we do

About anything that needs drawing. Our portfolio and galleries will be updated regularly, so check back regularly…

If you don’t know if we can help you, well… Feel free to contact us !

is it a duck ? is it a rabbit ?

DuckRabbit refers to the wellknown rabbit-duck illusion. It neatly fits our bridging the gap between the creative and marketing, the scientific and fantastical, the down-to-earth (rabbit) and the up-in-the-air (duck). Also it’s a cool name !
